Thomas Margiotti - Pennsylvania Attorney at Law

For nearly four decades, Thomas Margiotti has worked across the legal field. In 1987, Thomas Margiotti began his career in law as an assistant district attorney for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.

As an assistant district attorney, Thomas Margiotti worked in the major trials and homicide units. After leaving the District Attorney’s Office, he worked in private practice representing clients in business, employment, and real estate matters. Currently, he is an arbitrator and mediator for ADR Answers. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a certified mediator from the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution.

Mr. Margiotti acted as executive director for a mediation center. In this role, he was responsible for the center's daily operations, establishing and enforcing center policies and training programs, and maintaining a roster of mediators. He also conceptualized new courses, updated existing courses, and recruited instructors. Other roles include supervising marketing, administration, legal compliance, and reporting to the center’s Board of Directors. In 2014, Mr. Margiotti became an adjunct professor at Thomas Jefferson University (formerly Philadelphia University), where he teaches business law and forensics. He has also taught law as a visiting professor in Slovakia and Poland.

Over the course of his 38 years in law, Mr. Margiotti has researched and presented extensively on arbitration, mediation, business law, and forensics in continuing legal education courses and international conferences, including before the World Litigation Forum and International Forum on Tourism and Travel Advocates.

Mr. Margiotti received his bachelor's degree in communications from Villanova University and a juris doctorate from Delaware Law School. He presently resides near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
